At Thorpe Acre Pre-school we believe in providing a happy, safe and caring environment to nurture active learning.
Our aim is to:-
Your child will be allocated a key person upon their initial visit.
Parent meetings are held every term.
The pre-school is located within the grounds of the Thorpe Acre Infant School, in a self contained single storey building which is accessible by stairs and a ramp. It has its own secure playground and garden and has the benefit of a veranda, which can be used in in-clement weather.
Thorpe Acre Pre-School Playgroup Committee
The pre-school playgroup has been in operation since 1968 and is a committee led playgroup.
The committee is made up of non-staff members (usually parents who have children at playgroup) and staff members.
The committee is ultimately responsible for the playgroup, its finances, assets, health and safety, staffing, policies and procedures.
What does the committee do?
It's really important to have a committee that represents the views of parents and staff, so that any questions, concerns or new ideas can be raised, heard and considered.
All committee members have one huge thing in common; they are passionate about the future of the playgroup. All committee members are comitted to ensure the playgroup grows from strength to strength.
No previous experience or special skills are required to join the committee and you can get involved as much or as little as you like.
If you would like to join or have any questions regarding becoming a member of the committee then please let one of the staff members know so that someone can contact you for a chat.
